This event is an incredible opportunity to hear from successful women working in the legal field, offering a genuine insight into what it is like to work as a woman in the law.

We have an exciting panel attending this year’s event.

Liberty Sanger, national head of personal injury and Principal Lawyer at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers. Liberty attended the event in 2016, and is returning now to share her incredible career with a new cohort of La Trobe Law Students.

Balawyn Jones, many of us may know Balawyn. She is an associate lecturer, and first year convenor at La Trobe’s Bendigo campus. After practicing for a few years, she made the shift to academia.

Shaniya Vilash, Corporate counsel at Daimler Truck and Bus Australia Pacific. Shaniya is also Co-chair of the Law Institute of Victoria Young Lawyers Editorial Committee.

Emily Anderson, Barrister and accredited specialist in personal injury law. Emily signed the Bar roll in 2018 and has been practicing as a barrister since.

All of these women have incredible stories to share about their careers so far, and this is an amazing opportunity to hear their journeys.

All law students are welcome to come along for an inspiring chat from the panel, followed by a catered breakfast and networking opportunities.
